Megan Bedera is the Vice President of Amplify Relations, specializing in strategic and online communications strategy. Megan works closely with clients to develop unique and effective public relations campaigns to meet their goals.
Megan found her love for politics while managing constituent services for Washoe County’s largest commission district, covering nearly 5,000 square miles of Northern Nevada. During the construction boom of the mid-2000s, Megan worked with community leaders and activists representing diverse issues to open lines of communication and promote cooperation between rural tradition and new development.
In 2008, Megan joined the Sierra Nevada Chapter of the Associated Builders & Contractors where she coordinated the organization’s government affairs program, including the “counter bannering” campaign to bring awareness to the companies unfairly targeted by unions. During the 75th Session of the Nevada Legislature, Megan worked on legislation that would promote open competition and create meaningful reforms that would save taxpayers millions of dollars.
Since joining Amplify Relation, Megan has been instrumental in planning and executing successful social network and email fundraising campaigns that amplify conversation and fundraising potential. Megan has also developed packages that bring websites and communications together to create powerful streamlined campaigns for organizations and candidates.
Megan is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno with degrees in communications and political science has a master’s degree in Strategic Public Relations from The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management. In her free time, Megan enjoys long conversations with family and friends, reading a good book or being outdoors with her dogs, Roxy and Evita.
